Christopher Biggins raves about Princess Kate's personality
Christopher Biggins recalls a moment when Princess Kate humorously warned him not to repeat a joke
Christopher Biggins shares a friendly bond with Princess Kate, as he calls a cheeky conversation they had, which the latter humorously warned him not to repeat.
“Catherine, who I think is going to be the saviour of the Royal Family, came over and we talked about her taking the children to pantomime," the actor recalls.
“She was just walking away when she came back and said, ‘Actually, when I was a young girl I played Principal Boy," Christopher continues.
He remembers joking, “I said, ‘Really, which character was that?’ She said, ‘Dick Whittington.’ I responded, ‘Ah yes, I’ve heard of your D***.'"
Reacting to a risqué joke, Kate playfully made a sign of warning, “And she put her finger up and said, ‘If you tell anyone that story…’”
Elsewhere in his interview with The Telegraph, Christopher shares that his views of Prince William changed drastically after meeting him.
“I don't know why, but I wasn't," the Porridge star says, noting he was initially not a fan of the Prince of Wales.
But after meeting him last month, his opinion shifted. “But recently I did the Royal Variety Show. I met him afterwards, and he was really quite touched. He was charming," Christopher concludes.
