Real reason Andrew Mounbatten Windsor's gun licence got revoked
Andrew Mounbatten Windsor lost his gun licence after being stripped of titles
Andrew Mounbatten Windsor was stripped not only of his royal titles but also his firearms license, and the reason is now revealed.
Andrew, 65, regularly enjoyed elite shooting weekends, but after being stripped of titles and told to vacate the Royal Lodge, his gun licence was also revoked.
Earlier this month, officers from London's Metropolitan Police firearms licensing unit went to the Royal Lodge in Windsor and requested that Windsor voluntarily surrender his shotgun and firearms certificates.
"There was a growing sense that allowing him continued access to firearms was no longer responsible. The fear was not just about recklessness, but about his own safety and the safety of others," an insider said, per Radar Online.
"Andrew is effectively under a discreet form of suicide watch. Staff are checking in constantly, and that is happening on the King's orders. There is genuine anxiety that his mental health has deteriorated sharply since he lost his titles and role," the tipster added.
They added: "This was not about punishment. It was about risk management. When someone is isolated, under extreme stress, and surrounded by symbols of a former life, you have to take preventative steps."
Andrew Mounbatten Windsor's titles were stripped after new details emerged about his ties to convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, including alleged emails he sent to the human trafficker.
