Rhea Seehorn reflects on her reunion with 'Better Call Saul' creator in 'Pluribus'
Rhea Seehorn gets honest about reuniting with Vince Gilligan once again in 'Pluribus'
Rhea Seehorn recently got candid and opened up about landing a role in Pluribus, especially her reunion with Vince Gilligan.
The 53-year-old American actress and director is playing the role of Carol Sturka in the Apple TV+ sci-fi drama Pluribus, created by Vince Gilligan, with whom she worked in the neo-noir legal crime drama television series Better Call Saul.
While conversing with PEOPLE magazine at the Los Angeles premiere of Pluribus on November 4, Seehorn talked about her reunion with Gilligan.
She explained, "Vince said to me — I'll try to do it without crying — he said to me that somewhere along the line he was watching me in Saul, and whenever we took a little swerve and it was comedic or it was dark or psychological or dramatic, that there was some point at which he was like, 'I want to give her these other things to do.’”
The Whitney star added, "So, that was very exciting for me to then get the script and see, like, 'Oh, we're doing everything!'”
She went on to reveal that her character is a romance author by profession and has the responsibility to save homo sapiens from an alien virus that has affected everyone on Earth, turning them all frenetically happy, which is the “polar opposite” from her Better Call Saul character Kim Wexler.
"Rhea's character, she's kind of a troubled and imperfect hero, but she's doing her best to save the world. I missed writing good guys,” Gilligan told the same outlet.
It is pertinent to mention that Pluribus debuted with the first two episodes on Apple TV+ on November 7, 2025. Rest of the episodes air every Friday.
