Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly facing criticism for their latest announcement.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced that their production company Archewell Productions will produce a documentary, Cookie Queens about Girl Scouts selling biscuits.
It is pertinent to mention Meghan was a Girl Scout for several years while growing up in Los Angeles and she describe her time as "full circle" influence on her current ventures.
However, the timing of the project is being questioned given Meghan's dad Thomas Markle's health crisis, as reported by Radar Online.
An insider said, "Any daughter – or cookie-selling Girl Scout for that matter – worth her salt would be by her father's side."
Adding, "It's hard to see how Meghan's focus on a film set aligns with supporting her father during a serious health crisis."
Notably, Meghan Markle's father Thomas has reportedly stabilized after he was rushed to the hospital and his leg being removed to save his life.
"Meghan is seizing every chance to merge her public profile with projects that have substance. Cookie Queens allows her to showcase empowerment, entrepreneurship, and lessons from childhood, all while keeping her narrative firmly in her own hands," a Hollywood source told the outlet about the Duchess of Sussex's business venture.
