Buckingham Palace has released sweet photos of King Charles and Queen Camilla days after the monarch shared ‘good news’ regarding his cancer treatment.
King Charles and Camilla made their first joint appearance since the monarch shared that his cancer treatment will be “reduced” in the new year
In a pre-recorded message, King Charles shared the rare health update saying "Today I am able to share with you the good news that thanks to early diagnosis, effective intervention and adherence to ‘doctors’ orders,’ my own schedule of cancer treatment can be reduced in the New Year.
"This milestone is both a personal blessing and a testimony to the remarkable advances that have been made in cancer care in recent years; testimony that I hope may give encouragement to the fifty percent of us who will be diagnosed with the illness at some point in our lives."
Meanwhile, on Thursday, the King and Queen hosted a reception celebrating the return of HMS Prince of Wales from Operation HIGHMAST.
Later, the palace shared photos from the event saying “Celebrating the return of HMS Prince of Wales!
“The King, as Honorary Commodore-in-Chief Aircraft Carriers, and The Queen, as Lady Sponsor hosted a reception at St James’s Palace to celebrate the end of a successful eight-month deployment on Operation HIGHMAST.”
Operation HIGHMAST was the UK’s premier naval deployment of 2025, and a major global exercise, led by the nation’s flagship, HMS Prince of Wales.
