Mark Harmon eyeing acting comeback as he misses 'spotlight': Source
Insider shared details about Mark Harmon's downtime routine as he takes major decision about career comeback
Mark Harmon is reportedly feeling the pull of Hollywood once again.
According to a new report from RadarOnline.com, the veteran actor has been itching to return to the spotlight after recently reprising his iconic role as Leroy Jethro Gibbs in the franchise's first-ever NCIS and NCIS: Origins crossover.
Harmon famously stepped away from the long-running series four years ago, but the experience appears to have reignited his passion for acting.
"It's made him realize how much he misses being in front of the camera," an insider shared about the 74-year-old, who led NCIS for 18 seasons before exiting in 2021.
The source added that being back on set proved to be a turning point for Harmon.
"He had such a wonderful time being back on set, and now he’s saying he wants to do more acting," the insider claimed.
According to the report, his wife Pam Dawber has been less than thrilled with him spending too much time at home.
“Mark tried to enjoy the downtime, but the truth is, he was bored out of his mind,” the insider said while adding, “he misses the routine, the crew, the fans, the whole buzz of being on set.”
The source concluded that Dawber is fully on board with his renewed ambition, noting, “Pam will be the first to tell you she’s glad he’s getting out of the house again.”
