Will Meghan secretly call father Thomas Markle on Christmas Day?
Prince Harry wants Meghan to reconcile with her estranged father Thomas Markle
A royal expert has disclosed Meghan Markle plans about his father Thomas Markle as Christmas Day is approaching.
Royal expert Rob Shuter has revealed Meghan’s plans as the Duchess and Prince Harry also want to keep in touch with King Charles on big day.
Harry and Meghan plan to call King Charles on Christmas Day, keeping a line of communication open with the monarch even as they once again skip the traditional royal family gathering in the U.K, he said.
“They won’t be there in person, but they will be in touch,” a royal insider said. “It’s important to Harry that his father hears from him on Christmas.”
However, Rob Shuter claimed while the monarch will receive a call, Meghan’s own father Thomas Markle will not.
Citing multiple sources, the expert said Meghan has no plans to phone or visit Thomas Markle, who is recovering in the Philippines following emergency surgery on Christmas Day.
The insider said, “She won’t even call him. She knows where he is. She has the information. She’s chosen not to engage directly.”
Another source claimed, “Meghan talks publicly about the holidays being about family — but for her, that definition is very selective.”
While reconciliation with the royal family appears cautiously open, the insider tells Rob, the door to Meghan’s relationship with Thomas remains firmly shut.
