Kate Middleton leaves private note at cancer tribute garden
Kate Middleton made an unannounced visit to Royal Marsden Garden late Saturday
Kate Middleton quietly honoured cancer victims with a handwritten message on Saturday during an unannounced visit to a London art installation.
The Princess of Wales, 43, was visiting the Ever After Garden at Royal Marsden Cancer Charity which has more than 30,000 lit white roses to mark remembrance.
After leaving a moving message for cancer victims, she also later shared a short video montage from the visit via the Prince and Princess of Wales’ official Instagram.
Her handwritten note also appeared toward the end of the video, placed in the grass. “In loving memory of all those who have lost their lives to cancer – C,” the tribute read.
In the caption, Kate thanked those involved in creating the installation, writing that “every flower, every light, is a memory held together, an illumination of shared love, remembrance, and hope.”
The Ever After Garden was created in partnership with designer Anya Hindmarch, writer Camilla Morton and the Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Kate and Prince William became joint patrons of the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust in January, and Kate received her own cancer treatment at the Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea.
Kate publicly revealed her cancer diagnosis in March 2024, after beginning treatment the previous month following major abdominal surgery. She completed chemotherapy in September 2024 and later confirmed that she entered remission in January.
