Taylor Swift breaks silence on Vienna attack which killed three fans
Taylor Swift has reflected on the aftermath of horrifying attack which shook her on road
Taylor Swift has spoken out about the devastating violence that struck her fandom during her 2024 European tour, including the fatal stabbing of three fans in Vienna.
In her new Disney+ docuseries Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour | The End of an Era, the superstar reflects on the frightening threats that shadowed her record-breaking run.
According to PEOPLE Magazine, the first episode revisits the foiled terror plot in Vienna, where three men were arrested for allegedly planning an attack the CIA said was intended to kill “tens of thousands of people.”
The threat ultimately led Swift to cancel all three of her August 2024 Vienna shows.
“It's just kind of a weird feeling going into these last five shows in Europe,” Swift, 35, said in the series.
She continues, “Because it sort of feels like we've done like 128 shows so far, but this is the first one where I feel like... I don't know, like, I'm skating on thin ice or something.”
From her hotel room before her Wembley Stadium dates, Swift admitted that the cumulative impact of the violence has rattled her deeply.
“We've had a series of very violent, scary things happen to the tour. We dodged, like, a massacre situation. And so I've just been kind of all over the place.”
Swift also reflected on another tragic incident that shook her, “There was this horrible attack in Liverpool at a Taylor Swift-themed dance party, and it was little kids that … I have a hard time explaining it.”
