Gal Gadot reveals how she secured 'Fast and Furious' role

Gal Gadot recently got candid and opened up about why she now considers her failed James Bond audition a blessing for her.

During her recent appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast with Josh Horowitz, the 41-year-old Israeli actress revealed that she auditioned for the James Bond film Quantum of Solace.

Gadot told Horowitz that she was reluctant to attend the audition at first, but she eventually showed up out of respect for the casting director, as she spent hours with her to help her master the script.

She said, “I wasn’t an actress. It conflicted with my schedule in college, and I was not planning on going. She said, ‘I’m here for 3 hours. Go outside, learn the lines, and I’ll help you.’”

The Wonder Woman star failed to secure the role, but the same casting director pushed her to appear in a Fast & Furious audition, which turned out to be a life-changing decision for her.

“She was the one to cast me for Fast and Furious. That was the first film I’ve ever done.”

It is pertinent to mention that Gal Godot played the role of Gisele Yashar in the fourth Fast and Furious film, which was released in 2009. She got a chance to work alongside an ensemble, including cast Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson, and others.
