Andrew is going to be dependent on his brother King Charles ‘generosity’ in the future following removal of royal titles and eviction from the Royal Lodge.
This has been claimed by royal expert Richard Eden.
The royal expert said it remains to be seen how Andrew will fund his lifestyle, leading to the possibility that he will be relying on the "generosity" of his brother for the rest of his life.
The Daily Express quoted Eden a saying, "I think all of us would miss half a million pounds. Remember in the future he is going to be dependent on the King's generosity. He's going to be living at the King's private estate, Sandringham, and given an allowance by his brother the king.
"So nice for him to have a bit of your own pocket money."
Eden was referring to almost £500,000 Andrew could have received for ending his lease early but according to reports Royal Lodge is in such a state of dilapidation that he could miss out on the windfall.
Meanwhile, royal expert Jo Elvin said it will be "humiliating" for Andrew because it means he will be relying on an "allowance" from his brother, King Charles.
King Charles has initiated a formal process to remove the style, titles and honours of Andrew.
Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
Andrew’s lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence. Formal notice has now been served to surrender the lease and he will move to alternative private accommodation.
