The viral raccoon who made headlines on the media after ransacking a liquor store in Virginia is still making waves on the internet.
New dramatic visuals released from last week’s boozy-fueled rampage in which the high-raccoon was seen smashing dozens of bottles, and raiding shelves inside the store, has left netizens in ‘awe’.
The hilarious incident has earned the ‘trash panda’ local celebrity status, with the Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control ABC Authority naming three cocktails after the critter and local animal control officials creating a line of merchandise dedicated to the late raccoon.
The beverages control authority also shared new ad inspired by raccoons with three different artworks with various type of alcohol beverages.
The late raccoon has inspired his own line of cocktails, T-shirts, sweatshirts and mugs benefiting his fellow furry friends it also sparked charity campaigns for animals protection.
Introduced by Animal Protection Centers, ‘trash panda’ and ‘Midnight masked Gin Fizz’ trendy themes become a fashion statement.
The raccoon became so popular that the shelter’s T-shirt campaign for gathering funds for other animals raised nearly $100,000 to benefit the shelter and local animal protection officers.
Viral late drunken raccoon crashes into SNL’s weekend show
The ‘masked bandit’ has become something of a pop culture icon after one of the SNL (Saturday Night Live) star Sarah Sherman dressed up as the raccoon, telling viewers “Here to explain actions as a drunk raccoon.”
Sarah has not only left the internet in shock by dressing up as a raccoon on a live telecast, she also performed the whole drunken act live during the show, acting intoxicated and carrying a bottle of booze to entertain her fans and raising voice for the animal community.
She notably dressed as a raccoon to appear in “Weekend update” segment as the viral drunk raccoon.
The theme followed the incident which took place on November 29,2025 when Ashland’s ABC store in Ashland, discovered an intoxicated raccoon lying unconsciously on the bathroom floor.
