The Prince and Princess of Wales's Royal Foundation welcomes people to carol service in Manchester
Kensington Palace on Monday released a video from the Community Carol Service in Manchester highlighting the need to celebrate communities and honouring their work.
Guests were welcomed on behalf of the Royal Foundation of the Prince and Princess of Wales to the special service of carols and reading to honour their "amazing work across our communities."
A message posted on the official Instagram account of the Prince and Princess of Wales read, "A truly special Community Carol Service in Manchester, uniting people from across the city in an iconic setting."
It said, "Each year, the Community Carol Services bring the Together at Christmas spirit to communities around the UK, celebrating local champions and the love and connection that bind us together."
"Thank you to everyone who helped bring this festive spirit to the Coronation Street cobbles."
Last week, Princess Kate hosted an annual Christmas carol concert at Westminster Abbey to honour guests who had mostly been invited for service to the community, joined by her husband Prince William.
