Andrew Mountbatten given 1-year grace period to live at The Royal Lodge
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is granted another year to live at the Royal Lodge
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is given final months before he evacuates the Royal Lodge.
The former Duke of York and the disgraced member of the British Royal Family, is told to bear expenses of his 30-bedroom abode after being told to leave the property.
The Mirror notes: "The details of Andrew’s lease were shared, with the Termination of Lease clause stipulating that despite the fact the disgraced prince was kicked out of the Royal Lodge by King Charles, he is allowed to remain in the 30-room mansion until October 2026.'
The lease notes that Andrew served a “Tenant’s Notice offering to Surrender the Lease” on The Crown Estate on October 30 2025, which allows him another twelve months to live at the Royal Lodge.
"Our initial assessment is that while the extent of end of tenancy dilapidations and repairs required are not out of keeping with a tenancy of this duration, they will mean in all likelihood, that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor will not be owed any compensation for early surrender of the lease… once dilapidations are taken into account,” the Crown Estate said.
This comes as Royal expert Rob Shuter has claimed, “Andrew is not just refusing to leave Royal Lodge, he’s practically super-gluing himself to the furniture.
“Get this: he’s telling people he wants £75,000,000 to even think about moving out. I know. I KNOW. I had to sip water,” Rob continued.
Citing the insiders, the royal expert claimed, “Andrew is also insisting on a giant six- or seven-bedroom house on the Sandringham Estate as his “replacement.”
“And not just a house — he wants the whole package. A cook, a gardener, a housekeeper, a driver… basically a full-time staff to keep his life running exactly the way it runs at Royal Lodge. And of course, police protection too.”
