Sarah Ferguson has been at the cusp of a major life change, one that follows monumental upheaval, both in regards to her future as a public figure but also her living arrangements.

A statement to People magazine even clarified this stance, because it “poured” cold water on rumors of her moving in with either of her daughters, Princess Beatrice or Princess Eugenie, in the Cotswolds or Portugal.

While her future residence has not yet been revealed, as has been the case for her ex-husband who will be moving to a privately own royal property at Sandringham estate, a report has come in, addressing most things.

According to a report by Express UK, multiple sources that are close to Fergie and aware of her plans claim that Fergie is determined to “carve out an independent future away from the disgraced former prince”.

What is pertinent to mention is that Sarah Ferguson’s public woes erupted after emails were leaked that exposed the correspondences she had with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, after publically bashing him and the allegations surrounding him.

At the time it was said, “I abhor paedophilia and any sexual abuse of children. I cannot state more strongly that I know a terrible, terrible error of judgement was made, my having anything to do with Jeffrey Epstein. What he did was wrong and for which he was rightly jailed.”

Her email to him however saw her apologizing and saying “as you know, I did not, absolutely not, say the 'P word' about you but understand it was reported that I did.”

“I know you feel hellaciously let down by me. You have always been a steadfast, generous and supreme friend to me and my family.

Once The Sun and Mail on Sunday’s leak, a spokesperson stepped forward to reveal it was all done under threat of defamation.

“The duchess spoke of her regret about her association with Epstein many years ago, and as they have always been, her first thoughts are with his victims,” the spokesperson said.

“Like many people, she was taken in by his lies. As soon as she was aware of the extent of the allegations against him, she not only cut off contact but condemned him publicly, to the extent that he then threatened to sue her for defamation for associating him with paedophilia.”
