Damian Hardung doesn’t have any tears left for Maxton Hall season 3.
The second season of the hit Prime Video series is over, and Damian is glad.
"I wouldn't want to do that again," the actor said of the latest season, which sees his character, James, grieve over his mother’s death.
"I mean, I think we kind of knew, reading the first draft of the script of the second season, that it was going to be much bleaker, but also more honest in a way and more grown up in a way," he explained.
He noted that his character "needs to have a certain timeframe of actually working on his grief and going through the different stages of grieWhile he feels privileged to be playing James, he wouldn’t do such a season again.
"I just feel truly privileged that they gave us the time to really dive into that, as an actor. As a person, I'm really happy to not have to do that season again," he said.
After crying what felt like "every scene, " the actor told them "I can't do more tears. I have no more tears."
He added, "At a certain point, I think there was one day where I didn't have to cry, and I was like, 'This is weird. This feels weird.' "
Damian Hardung is joined by Harriet Herbig-Matten as James’ love interest Ruby Bell in Maxton Hall, which is based on the bestselling Save Me trilogy by Mona Kasten.
