Robert Irwin talks 'surreal' Hollywood project after 'DWTS' win
Robert Irwin is taking on another major project after winning 'DWTS'
Robert Irwin is continuing his Hollywood run after winning Dancing with the Stars.
After winning the mirror ball trophy, Robert is set to make his voiceover debut in Zootopia 2.
The Australian environmental conservationist plays a koala named Robert Furwin in a cameo role. He attended the movie’s Los Angeles premiere with his DWTS partner Witney Carson.
"This is honestly so surreal," he gushed at the premiere, which took place amid his DWTS run on November 13.
"The fact that I get to be part of a film that is all about celebrating animals — it's about celebrating the reptiles, the snakes, just as much as the cute and cuddly bunnies and koalas. I just love that," he told People.
"To play a koala, an animal so close to my heart, means everything," he added.
"I could not miss this night for the world. I'm up to my neck in jive and [DWTS rehearsals] but this is just a night I've been looking forward to for a long time," he told Entertainment Tonight.
Robert joined returning cast members Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman as well as Ke Huy Quan, Fortune Feimster, Andy Samberg, Idris Elba, Shakira, Quinta Brunson, Danny Trejo, Macaulay Culkin, Brenda Song, John Leguizamo, Jenny Slate, Ed Sheeran, Michael J. Fox and more.
Zootpoia 2 is now in cinemas.
