Harry Potter stars Oliver and James Phelps are adding a dash of magic to this holiday season, with a little help from a former costar.
Twins Oliver and James are back to host the second season of their Harry Potter-themed baking show, Harry Potter: Wizards of Baking.
In the new seasons, the brothers, who played mischievous Weasley twins Fred and George, reunited with their former costar Afshan Azad, who played Padma Patil.
Afshan onboarded the show as a guest judge, and immediately, her banter with the brothers resumed.
"It’s like being friends from high school or college or something like that," Oliver told People. "You may not see them regularly, but when you’re with each other, it’s like you’re back [to being kids]."
He shared, "She and I, 20-odd years ago, our banter was just brutal. It was just nonsense. So much so, people used to think we didn’t like each other — but obviously we’re really good friends, we were just at it."
When the duo met for Wizards of Baking, they quickly began roasting each other again.
"We were like, ‘So should we be nice now or do we just…?'"Oliver shared. "And she said, ‘No, come on, let’s keep it up!'"
"We went back to how we were, so it was really funny," added James. "And then one of the producers in our ear was like, ‘Is everything okay?'"
But for the twins, it's simply a return to their "safe space," which was their time filming the Harry Potter films.
"We were very lucky. It was pre-social media, it was pre-eyes of the world on you wherever you went. So we were very lucky to have been able to share that experience at that time" he gushed.
