Kris Jenner backs Meghan Markle following party photo controversy
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s birthday photo dispute clarified as Kris Jenner signals support
Kris Jenner has publicly backed Meghan Markle after a recent wave of speculation sparked by the disappearance of an Instagram post featuring the two women.
Meghan had shared the trailer for her upcoming Netflix Christmas special along with a Harper’s Bazaar story cover, and Jenner quickly reposted both clips.
The timing matched the Prince and Princess of Wales’ appearance at the Royal Variety Performance, signaling that any rumored tension between Meghan and Jenner has eased.
Questions arose earlier this month when images showing Prince Harry and Meghan at Jenner’s 70th birthday celebration were suddenly removed from social media.
According to People magazine, the photos were taken down because the couple had selected the “no” option on a photo consent form at the event—meaning their images could not be publicly shared.
The Sussexes joined roughly 300 guests at the James Bond–themed party, hosted at Jeff Bezos’s Beverly Hills estate. The event was private, with guests informed that no television cameras would be present.
Harry and Meghan arrived hand-in-hand, with Harry in a black dinner jacket and red poppy, and Meghan in a black, form-fitting ensemble.
Body language expert Judi James told the Daily Mail that Harry appeared to step into a protective stance.
“In star terms, this reflects her return to the big screen as an actress, while he seems to be back in 'Spare' mode here,” James said. She noted that his posture echoed a “Travis Kelce” style presence, with an extended arm and firm handhold signaling a protective instinct.
James added that Meghan entered the venue with visible confidence, saying, “Meghan performs a smile of utter delight here. Her cheeks are rounded, and her lips are hiked up high at the corners to create a symmetric shape.”
