‘YouTube Music’ gets better, launches new feature
YouTube favorite playlist search might finally become a reality on YouTube Music app now
YouTube has finally launched a long-overdue feature that instantly makes YouTube Music more usable.
It has fixed its biggest playlist issue—the music video platform has been testing a long-requested feature that lets users search within massive 'playlists.'
YouTube Music users have been frustrated by the lack of a search option within playlists, and it has finally launched an easy-to-use playlist feature called ‘Find a Playlist.’
The news broke when a YouTube user reported that version 8.45.3 of YouTube Music on iOS includes a new 'Find a playlist' option in the overflow menu.
According to Reddit users, this new feature is not available in all countries, and Android users still don't have access to the testing phase.
Music lovers believe that this new feature is a big win for power users with huge playlist collections.
In addition, the new update moves YouTube Music closer to feature parity with leading music streaming apps like Spotify by tackling a long-standing complaint, since Spotify already has this feature.
The newly rolled-out feature seems extremely limited, even among users of the same app version.
It is assumed that the new feature is currently in testing—enabled for selected accounts, meaning users can update the app version but may not receive it yet.
How to use new ‘Find a playlist’ feature on YouTube Music
- Open the YouTube Music app, and tap the three-dot menu.
- Then type to locate songs inside large playlist, using new option 'Find a playlist.'
- Now just scroll and find your favorite song.
