Isla Fisher breaks silence on tough divorce amid Sacha Baron's dating rumours

Isla Fisher has confessed that the period following her split from husband Sacha Baron Cohen has been 'really challenging.' 

The Australian actress, 49, appears in a stunning shoot for NewBeauty and, in her accompanying interviews, opens up about how she has spent the past year rebuilding her 'sense of self' post-divorce. 

Isla and Sacha mutually announced the end of their 14-year marriage at the end of 2023, with their divorce finalised this past June. 

Since the separation, the actress-who shares three children with Sacha-reveals she has dedicated the past two years to focusing on her career and personal growth.

Meanwhile, Sacha's approach to single life has been markedly different from Isla's. Just three months after the divorce was finalised, reports surfaced that the Borat star, 54, had moved on with 27-year-old model Hannah Palmer. 

And on Friday, he was spotted spending time with social media personality Kelsey Calemine, 26, who is 28 years younger than him. Isla, on the other hand, has been keeping busy with work. 

Speaking to NewBeauty Isla acknowledged 'it has been a really challenging time. I definitely feel like there's something about the divorce club that anyone in it understands in a way other people don't. It's a different grief.' 

Switching to a more uplifting outlook, Isla added: 'I feel like creating a new identity after your divorce is so fun, though. You get to reflect on your values and goals, explore new interests, focus on what you want and rebuild your sense of self.' 

She is currently promoting the highly anticipated return of the Now You See Me franchise, with the third installment hitting cinemas this week. 

She also has four additional films slated for release between this year and next, marking her most active professional period since 2016, when she appeared in Keeping Up with the Joneses, Noctural Animals, and Grimsby, the latter alongside then-husband Sacha.
