Kim Kardashian opened up about one of the toughest periods in her years-long law journey, sharing raw and emotional moments from the days leading up to her California bar exam.
The 45-year-old reality star and actress, who has spent seven years studying, recently confirmed she did not pass the exam but remains committed to trying again.
In a nine-minute vlog posted to her social media, Kim allowed fans into her strict two-week study routine, during which she stepped away from all other work to stay focused.
The video captured a vulnerable moment of her lying in bed without makeup, crying after an exhausting day of preparation.
Fighting through tears, she told the camera, “F*, I’m gonna film this because oh my god I am just so tired. It is like every time I feel like I am a step ahead, something happens to try and stop me from doing this. A part of me just wants to stop. I feel like my brain is going to explode and I still have so much more to go.”**
She didn’t specify what obstacles were getting in the way, but the vlog shows her struggling with significant back pain throughout the study period.
Kim explained that her back had “given out,” forcing her to wear a large brace in most clips. She also underwent an MRI, which confirmed disc-related issues that were contributing to her discomfort.
Even with the pain and stress, Kim said she felt surprisingly confident the day before the exam and was ready to take on the challenge.
The news of her not passing arrived around the same time her legal drama series premiered globally.
In the show, she plays lawyer Allura Grant alongside an ensemble cast featuring Glenn Close, Sarah Paulson, Naomi Watts and Niecy Nash.
Kim began her legal journey in 2018, inspired by her late father, Robert Kardashian Sr., and has often spoken about wanting to follow in his footsteps.
After revealing earlier this month that she didn’t pass, she posted, “Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV. Six years into this law journey, and I’m still all in until I pass the bar. No shortcuts, no giving up – just more studying and even more determination.”
Her latest update highlights not just the pressure of balancing her career and studies, but also the persistence behind her goal of eventually becoming a practicing attorney, something she’s made clear she has no intention of walking away from.
