Prince William breaks seven year silence on Harry

Prince William finally mentioned his estranged brother by name only the second time in seven years. 

Speaking on Eugene Levy’s The Reluctant Traveler, the future king reflected on his vision for the monarchy, “I hope we don't go back to some of the practices in the past Harry and I had to grow up with. I'll do everything I can to make sure we don't regress in that situation.”

According to sources speaking to RadarOnline.com, the name drop was more than a casual comment it was “an olive branch” to Prince Harry. 

After more than five years of post-“Megxit” tension, and amid quiet lobbying from Princess Kate and King Charles III, William is reportedly warming to the idea of truce talks.

But don’t expect spontaneous phone calls or Instagram DMs. “There’s no way he’s willing to pick up the phone and do this casually,” the source added, noting William remains wary after Harry’s public recounting of private disagreements and the explosive revelations in Spare.

Since stepping back from royal duties in 2020, Harry and Meghan have kept their life under the Californian sun and William has maintained careful distance, only crossing paths with his brother at a handful of family funerals. 

Any meaningful conversation, the source emphasizes, “would need to be a supervised discussion, handled with total discretion.”

Especially since Harry seems to be learning the hard way that royal reconciliation comes with fine print. 

Reports of the Duke of Sussex’s tentative first step toward mending fences a 54 minute reunion with King Charles in September described the encounter as “distinctly formal.” 

In response, Harry’s spokesperson broke silence, issuing a rare statement defending the private meeting and taking aim at “sources intent on sabotaging any reconciliation between father and son.”

But the clarification did little to ease palace nerves. “A lot of courtiers still don’t trust him an inch,” a source told reporters, noting that many believe it’s essential for Prince William to “stand his ground and stay far away from the Sussexes.”
