Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter discusses her dad’s strict parenting style
Katherine Schwarzenegger reveals what it’s like growing up in a famous family
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s daughter Katherine has recently opened up about her father’s strict parenting style.
Chris Pratt’s wife revealed how she grew up in a famous family with her strict father during an appearance on Hoda Kotb‘s Making Space podcast on November 12.
“My dad was really big on chores. Very strict on them,” she recalled.
Reflecting on her childhood, Katherine told the podcast “We had to make our bed every morning, do our laundry, open our curtains, turn off our lights, clean our bedrooms, clean our bathrooms, fold our clothes properly, clean up after ourselves.”
Elsewhere in the interview, the author shared that the Terminator star would destroy their belongings if he ever caught anyone not cleaning up themselves.
“If we didn’t clean up after ourselves, our belongings went into the fire… My dad was very serious,” stated the 35-year-old.
Katherine further said, “If they were just laying around, they were disposed of because he said, ‘Obviously you don’t care about them and you need to have responsibility with your belongings.'”
Meanwhile, the Jurassic World actor’s wife pointed out that Arnold was rigid as she remembered that once she was attending a high school semi-formal and her father came and took her home because she didn’t take her laundry out of the dryer.
At the time, Katherine expressed her frustration but she confessed she now sees the benefits of her father’s ways.
“I’m like, I’m going to do the exact same thing with my children now. So it all comes full circle,” added the author.
