Adam Peaty takes refuge at Ramsay's home amid police probe into his brother

Adam Peaty is believed to be taking shelter at his future in-law's home as tensions surrounding his upcoming wedding to Holly Ramsay escalated on Thursday night.

The Olympic champion, 30, reportedly rushed to the south London residence of Gordon and Tana Ramsay after his elder brother was arrested and questioned for two days in connection with alleged threatening behaviour.

Insiders told Daily Mail that Gordon Ramsay is currently abroad in Ireland for work, while Holly, 25, has stayed behind in London due to her own professional commitments.

However, the lavish event caused friction, with the swimmer's working-class parents claiming they can not meet the expected costs.

Adding to the family turmoil, Peaty's older brother James, 34, has also been interviewed by police over accusations that he sent a stream of threatening messages to the athlete during his stag trip in Budapest.

A source told The Sun: 'With everything going on Adam is going to remain in the UK. His team will still be delivering a first class clinic.'

A famous source told the Daily Mail: 'The boys have always been close, and Jamie, who is a builder, even helped Adam renovate his house.

'They have always got on, but Adam has changed with his new celebrity lifestyle and family.

'Now James has a potential charge hanging over his head and his parents have the headache of being disinvited and banned from their son's wedding.'

Peaty is se to tie the knot with the celebrity chef's eldest daughter next month at the historic Abbey Church of Saint Peter and Saint Paul in Bath.
