Sarah Jessica Parker to Be Honoured With 2026 Carol Burnett Award at Golden Globes
Sarah Jessica Parker is a six-time Golden Globe Winner for her role in ‘Sex and the City’
Sarah Jessica Parker, known for her role in Sex and the City, is set to be honoured with a major accolade.
The actress, who won six Golden Globes for Sex and the City in the categories of best actress in a musical or comedy and best television series comedy or drama as an executive producer, is set to receive the Golden Globes Carol Burnett Award.
Launched in 2019 for TV achievement, the award is named after Carol Burnett, a ground-breaking comedian and actress.
Parker will be presented the award during the second-ever Globes-themed Golden Eve special.
"Sarah Jessica Parker’s career embodies the very spirit of the Carol Burnett Award," said Golden Globes president Helen Hoehne.
She added, "Her trailblazing impact on television and her dedication to storytelling across stage and screen have left an indelible mark on popular culture."
Hoechne continued, "We are honoured to celebrate her extraordinary contributions to entertainment."
Golden Eve will also feature, as previously announced, Dame Helen Mirren accepting the Globes' 2026 Cecil B. DeMille Award.
Both the Cecil B. DeMille and the Carol Burnett Awards used to be given out during the regular Golden Globes telecast, but last year they were been moved to the Thursday before the Globes in order to create a new major event as part of a Globes weekend.
Golden Eve will air as a marquee event during ‘Golden Week,’ described as a week-long Golden Globes-branded experience across Paramount platforms as well as celebratory kick-off events ahead of the 83rd Golden Globes, the first major award show of the season.
The Golden Globes Awards are set to air live on January 11, 2026 and hosted by Nikki Glaser.
