John Travolta gave fans a rare look at his 14-year-old son, Ben, in a heartwarming Instagram post on Wednesday.
The actor shared a video of Ben climbing a mountain in Norway, with the clip set perfectly to Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell’s classic Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.
In the video, Ben — bundled up in a white jacket, black pants, and snow boots — is seen scaling the icy mountain before reaching the top and smiling proudly at the breathtaking view.
Travolta couldn’t help but express his admiration, captioning the post, “Ain’t no mountain high enough for my son Ben. Love from Norway.”
The moment quickly caught attention online, with fans and loved ones leaving heartfelt comments.
Travolta’s daughter, 25-year-old Ella Bleu, cheered on her younger brother, commenting with sweet emojis.
Others praised the actor for how he’s raising his children, with one fan writing, “Incredible. You’re doing an amazing job raising those kids. I’m sure Kelly would be thrilled and ever so proud.”
Many followers were also struck by how much Ben resembles his famous father.
“At a glimpse I see a mini JT!,” one person wrote, while another added, “Looks like his brother and dad.”
Travolta shares Ben, Ella, and his late son, Jett, with his late wife, actress Kelly Preston, who passed away in 2020 after battling breast cancer.
Since her death, Travolta has occasionally opened up about life with his children and how they’ve coped with loss.
During a 2021 appearance on Kevin Hart’s Hart to Heart, Travolta shared that Ben once expressed fear of losing him too after his mother’s passing.
“I went through the differences about my longevity and her limited life,” the actor said.
“I said, ‘But you know, Ben … you always love the truth, and I’m going to tell you the truth about life. Nobody knows when they’re gonna go or when they’re going to stay.’”
Travolta went on to tell his son that the best way to live is to embrace every moment, knowing that death is simply a part of life.
“‘Your brother [Jett] left at 16. Too young. Your mother left at 57. That was too young. But who’s to say? I could die tomorrow. You could. Anybody can,’” he recalled telling Ben.
“‘So let’s look at it like it’s part of life. You don’t know exactly. You just do your best at trying to live the longest you can.’”
The touching post from Norway not only highlighted Ben’s adventurous spirit but also gave fans a glimpse of the close bond Travolta continues to share with his family, a testament to the actor’s enduring love and strength.
