Taylor Swift likely to follow in Dua Lipa's footsteps after London wedding

Dua Lipa and Callum Turner’s secret wedding has left millions of Swifties asking whether Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce could do the same, pouring cold water on hopes of glimpsing a grand wedding.

Since Taylor Swift announced her engagement to the Kansas City Chiefs tight end last year, fans and media have been speculating about their wedding and who might or might not attend. 

But the “Levitating” singer’s wedding on Sunday prompted some observers and fans to believe they might one day get news that Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had gotten married in a private ceremony somewhere nobody expected would be their wedding venue. 

Some experts believe Taylor Swift could absolutely arrange something similar to Dua Lipa’s recent secret wedding to avoid unnecessary controversies.

Dua Lipa, 30, wore a white hat and dress designed by the Schiaparelli studio for the wedding, reports said. Turner, 36, donned a dark blue suit.

The Sun said that they now plan a "sumptuous" three-day party in Sicily at the end of next week. Representatives of the couple, who have been together since January 2024, did not answer AFP's request to comment.

Dua Lipa, the daughter of Kosovo migrants who has become one of Britain's top singers since her "Be The One" single in 2016, announced in an interview with British Vogue last year that she and Turner planned to marry.

Turner made an international name for himself appearing in the "Fantastic Beasts" films. He is considered a possible candidate to become the next James Bond.
