Princess Kate pens personal message on 'healing' amid remission from cancer
Future Queen Catherine celebrates poignant day with emotional statement
Princess Kate released an emotional statement to mark a poignant event as her journey in remission continues.
The Princess of Wales, who has been a patron of Evelina London Children’s Hospital since 2008, celebrated the 20th anniversary of the hospital, giving great care to children, youngsters, and their families across London.
In her personal heartfelt message, the future Queen, who made several visits to the health care place, penned, "As Patron of Evelina, I’m delighted to join everyone at Evelina London Children’s Hospital in celebrating the 20th anniversary of its iconic hospital building."
"Over the past two decades, this extraordinary space has enabled Evelina London to care for nearly three times as many children and young people as when it first opened. It is a place that symbolises love, healing and hope and has had such an impact on countless lives."
Kate Middleton shared that she witnessed how the hospital management has been ensuring that children feel "safe, supported and nurtured" during their challenging period of life.
The mother of three praised the dedicated hospital staff for their compassion and expertise in caring for patients and their families.
"Looking ahead, I am filled with hope for Evelina’s future. As it continues to grow, even more children will benefit from the world-class care that defines Evelina, a place where healing begins with connection, and every child is cherished," the Princess of Wales concluded her note.
Future Queen Catherine's latest health update:
In March 2024, Princess Kate appeared in a video with a shocking announcement of her cancer diagnosis. Following that, George, Charlotte and Louis's mom underwent preventative chemotherapy.
The Princess of Wales confirmed in her visit to The Royal Marsden in January 2025 that she is in remission from cancer. But, still not out of the woods completely.
"...I remain focused on recovery. As anyone who has experienced a cancer diagnosis will know, it takes time to adjust to a new normal. I am, however, looking forward to a fulfilling year ahead. There is much to look forward to. Thank you to everyone for your continued support," Kate stated in a statement at the time.
