'The Witcher' co-star lends support to Liam Hemsworth amid ongoing casting debate
Henry Cavill fans are comparing his acting with Liam Hemsworth in 'The Witcher' season 4
The Witcher actor Joey Batey has come out in support of Liam Hemsworth amid ongoing debate about his casting in place of Henry Cavill.
Cavill played "Geralt" in the previous three season of the popular show. But due to some creative difference, he stepped down from the role, which eventually then went over to Hemsworth.
Since then, there has been an ongoing debate between his fans and Henry’s.
Joey, however, with an aim to settle down the debate opened that the 35-year-old was very dedicated to the craft and "took the ownership of the role" on first day of shoot.
The 36-year-old actor and singer stated, "Every time a new person comes to the show, our job is to almost overwhelmingly welcome them.
"We're quite fervent about it. There's lots of hugging. There's lots of, 'Come here, we're going for a quick pint”.
He admitted that they all welcomed Liam with open arms and everyone was like 'Okay, you're part of the gang now".
Batey told SFX magazine that The Hunger Games star would always show up on set with some new ideas about the script.
"Those creative conversations with the showrunner continued, because he has the one thing that I would ask of any collaborator - he turned up and cared”, said Joey.
The Witcher season 4 is now streaming on Netflix.
