Meghan Markle marks first day on movie set without Prince Harry
Interesting details from Meghan Markle’s day on movie set revealed by crew
Meghan Markle is ending her eight-year-long hiatus from Hollywood as she finally gets roped in for a upcoming movie for Amazon MGM Studios.
The Duchess of Sussex, who became popular following her role as Rachel Zane on legal drama Suits, quit acting after she got married to Prince Harry in 2018. For the new project, Meghan has teamed up with A-listers Lily Collins and Brie Larson.
The shooting is reportedly taking place in California, which means that Meghan would not be too far away from her two children, Prince Archie, six, and Princess Lilibet, four. On Thursday, she officially marked her first day on set, according to a report by People Magazine.
Meghan seemed to be in high spirits, as an insider described her to be “very relaxed and happy”. They also noted that the Duchess has a very small role in the movie.
“She introduced herself to everyone and was very sweet and down-to-earth.”
Meanwhile, Prince Harry is in Canada for a solo two-day visit to mark Remembrance Day. He met with soldiers in two of the old regiments to learn about their stories.
Meghan Markle’s movie role details
The Duchess will be appearing in movie Close Personal Friends. She is anticipated to appear as herself and will possibly be making a guest appearance or a cameo role.
Apart from Lily Collins and Brie Larson, it stars Jack Quaid and Henry Golding. It is directed by Jason Orley, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Filming started in London in September before moving to California.
The story revolves around a couple who meet a celebrity couple during a trip to Santa Barbara, California.
