John Hutcherson says Jennifer Lawrence on-screen reunion 'will happen'
Josh Hutcherson reflects on ten years since he and Lawrence last starred in a 'Hunger Games' film
Josh Hutcherson is positive that he and Jennifer Lawrence will reunite on-screen at some point.
It’s been a decade since Lawrence and Hutcherson retired their beloved roles of Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark after Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2. And while their return to the franchise remains in the air amid multiple new entries in the Hunger Games franchise, Hutcherson knows he and Lawrence are likely to come together for another project.
During the premiere of his new show, I Love LA, Hutcherson, 33, was told by Entertainment Tonight that fans “just wanna see you and Jen back together. We’ve got to find a new project for the two of you.”
The Bridge to Terabithia alum confidently responded, “We’ll find something. It will happen at some point.”
Asked whether he has a fear of missing out (FOMO) about the prequels since his last Hunger Games movie, Hutcherson admitted to feeling nostalgia for the franchise.
“It’s a mix, man. Like, part of me is so happy to have been part of creating something that can live on in new iterations with new cast and a new world. But at the same time, I’m like, I have this nostalgia for it. And I miss it, because it was like such a good time in my life,” he said.
