Reflecting on her life over the years, the Devious Maids actress confessed she “loved” her struggle because it helped her “appreciate” life.

“I loved when I moved to Hollywood and had six dollars in my bank account. I love my failures, that’s where you grow and learn,” said the 50-year-old in a new interview with The US Sun.

The Flamin' Hot director explained she “was in the rat race” as she was giving auditions and working many jobs at one time.

“I struggled to pay my rent and I had a student loan and I went through that and I would never change my experience of hardship or touching every rung of the ladder,” pointed out Eva.

However, Dora and the Lost City of Gold actress dished that she “likes” her struggle because it “makes” her “appreciate this position” she’s in now.

Elsewhere in the interview, Eva also discussed her failed marriages, saying she doesn’t regret at all about her past.

Meanwhile, the Only Murders in the Building star, who is currently married to José Bastón, shares one seven-year-old son with him.
