Ty Jones left the internet in laughter after revealing that his own daughter thinks he is Ed Sheeran.
The Manchester resident has been compared to the British singer for years, but now even his three-year-old daughter, Cherry, has joined the confusion.
Ty, who has built an online following for his striking resemblance to the Shape of You star, said that Cherry often points to pictures of Ed.
“She thinks [Ed] is me all the time,” Ty told What’s The Jam. “My wife is a massive fan and has pictures up [of Ed around our house], so she thinks it’s pictures of me.
I don’t mind. She’s only three years old and will learn. She’s dead cute with it.”
He added with a laugh, “Cherry will soon learn I’m not Ed Sheeran when she sees we don’t have a Lambo outside.”
Ty shared that being mistaken for the singer has become part of his daily life. People often stop him in public for selfies or comments, something his daughter still doesn’t understand.
“It can be hard work at times. Sometimes I’m just not in the mood for it,” he said.
Recently, he posted a clip showing his daughter’s adorable confusion, and the video has taken social media by storm.
It gathered more than five million views, leaving fans amused, as many commented on how similar he looks to Ed Sheeran, while others called Cherry’s mix-up “the cutest thing on the internet.”
