'KPop Demon Hunters' actress Rei Ami teases what could be next for the Netflix hit
KPop Demon Hunters star Rei Ami gave a witty response when asked about a potential sequel for the Netflix hit.
The Korean-American rapper, who lends her musical talents to the character of Zoey, didn’t give away much as she’s doing exactly what the fans are doing: waiting.
"I’m waiting for the call, just like you!" she told E! News on the red carpet for Heidi Klum’s Halloween bash, where she was dressed up as Zoey from the opening scene of the popular animated movie.
the 30-year-old added, "You’re gonna find out when I do, so we’ll chat then," dodging the query smoothly.
KPop Demon Hunters follows a powerhouse K-pop girl group that must defeat a rival boy band of demons intent on taking over the world.
Reflecting on the film’s record-breaking success, the voice actress expressed her amazement, admitting she was truly astonished.
"This is a cultural phenomenon. The records, the headlines — it’s absolutely unprecedented. [I’m] so honored and in awe, and I think I’m just truly humbled by the power of music and good art and how it can really, truly — it sounds so cliché — change the world," she raved.
KPop Demon Hunters is breaking records left and right, its not only the streamer’s most-watched film to date but its original soundtrack Golden, which has attracted unprecedented popularity, is rivaling hits from Miley Cyrus and Harry Styles.
