OpenAI’s Sam Altman viral ‘three-act tale’ reveals frustration over Tesla
Sam Altman’s post on X shared his growing frustration over $50,000 Tesla reservation delay
OpenAI’s Sam Altman has recently expressed his disappointment over being able to receive a Tesla which he booked more than 7 years ago.
Taking to X, Altaman shared a post with a caption of “A tale in three acts” in which he shared an email exchange of his booking of the electric vehicle and his subsequent efforts to cancel it and get a $50,000 refund for pre-booking a Tesla Roadster in 2018.
Altman shared three screenshots of details and emails. The First screenshot showed the confirmation booking of EV. The second one showed his email asking Tesla to cancel the order and issue a refund.
Altman replied to the automated reservation message: “Hi, I’d like to cancel my reservation. Could you please refund me the $50k?”
In another post, Altman wrote, “I really was excited for the car! And I understand delays. But 7.5 years has felt like a long time to wait.”
The post took the internet by storm, drawing thousands of comments and reactions from the users.
Sam Altman’ s brother Jack Altman also playfully commented, “Whether we burn $500 million, $5 billion, or $50 billion a year -- I don’t care,” and quipped, “You can’t be worrying about 50k like this.”
Sam replied humorously, “Little brother energy is the WORST.”
