Rain could disrupt major sporting events across Maryland today
Scattered showers are possible this morning with more rain developing across Western Maryland
Rain is expected to affect parts of Maryland today posing potential problems for people attending several major sporting events. It is primarily a first alert weather day due to the chances of rain and a few storms impacting outdoor plans. Meanwhile, additional chances of needed rain along with much cooler weather in the forecast heading into the starting week.
According to reports, a round of heavy rain has already pushed through Central Maryland this morning and more rounds of rain are expected through the day with a few obscured thunderstorms developing later this afternoon.
Temperatures peak in the 80s with mugging conditions with lightning could leave a significant impact on either game. Moreover, a cloudy and cooler week ahead with rain chances throughout the end of the week.
The peak disruption is expected during the latter half Monday into midday Wednesday. It is expected that afternoon temperatures will range from the mid-60s to lower 70s Tuesday through Thursday. In addition, early mornings will be chilly starting at sunrise temperature in the 50s; though some light at the end of the tunnel is sunny and drier weather by next Saturday.
