Keanu Reeves, Tim Miller team up for sci-fi thriller 'Shiver'

Warner Bros. is in final negotiations to secure Shiver, a high-concept sci-fi thriller starring Keanu Reeves and directed by Deadpool filmmaker Tim Miller.

The project has generated significant buzz thanks to its powerhouse creative lineup, with Kingsman director Matthew Vaughn producing through his Marv Films banner alongside Aaron Ryder, whose recent credits include All of You and Dumb Money.

Written by Ian Shorr, Shiver is described as a pulse-pounding blend of Edge of Tomorrow and The Shallows. While plot details are being kept under wraps, the story reportedly follows a down-on-his-luck smuggler who becomes ensnared in a deadly double-cross while on a job in the Caribbean.

Surrounded by corpses, mercenaries, and menacing sharks, he soon discovers he’s trapped in a time loop and must find a way to break free before meeting his end over and over again.

Shorr previously penned the 2021 sci-fi action feature Infinite, starring Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor, as well as the horror comedy Office Uprising.

Miller, a visual effects veteran, made his directorial debut with the record-breaking Deadpool before helming Terminator: Dark Fate and creating Netflix’s acclaimed anthology Love, Death & Robots.

Reeves, coming off Ballerina and Good Fortune, remains in high demand with major projects in development, including Netflix’s BRZRKR, based on the comic he co-created.
