Britney Spears raises fear among family with alarming behaviour
Britney Spears comes under supervision after mental health concerns
Britney Spears appears to be going through a rough patch, and her family has grown worried over her mental health.
The 43-year-old pop icon was recently seen driving erratically on the road in a video that went viral all over social media, and people close to her are now “terrified” that she is losing control over herself.
The Circus hitmaker’s driving incident and cryptic social media posts are reportedly reminding her family of the 2007 breakdown, which led her to conservatorship.
“There’s a lot of concern. Everyone has always wanted the best for her, and she’s showing right now that she’s making bad choices,” an insider told Daily Mail.
“It’s terrifying. So there’s a lot of talk about what to do, if anything. How can we protect her from herself,” continued the source.
The singer’s conservatorship in the past, in which her father Jamie Spears had strict control over her life, turned quite controversial in the public eye, attracting much criticism, which is why it is a major decision for the family.
“The last time that Jamie stepped in to protect his daughter, he became public enemy number one. People said he was trying to grab her money, which is not true. So the question is whether anyone should step in to help her, and deal with the backlash,” the source told the outlet.
Many reports also seem to suggest that Spears’ mental health crisis is triggered by her ex-husband, Kevin Federline’s new memoir, You Thought You Knew, in which he lists several allegations against the Toxic songstress.
