It seems even royal walls can’t withstand scandal or time. Prince Andrew’s once grand Windsor retreat, Royal Lodge, is quite literally cracking under pressure.

Despite being stripped of his royal titles and engulfed in ongoing controversy over his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, the 65 year old royal remains firmly ensconced in the lavish residence rent free.

Newly surfaced photos, however, paint a less than regal picture, peeling paint, spreading cracks, and signs of serious decay creeping across the estate’s façade.

Andrew, who has lived at Royal Lodge since 2004 under a lease that runs until 2078, has reportedly poured millions into repairs over the years.

The Duke paid £1 million upfront and poured an additional £7.5 million into urgent renovations, though insiders suggest the final bill crept closer to £10 million.

Yet the latest images suggest the home’s condition is faltering fast. According to property expert Terry Fisher of We Buy Any Home, Prince Andrew’s Royal Lodge isn’t just showing its age, it’s crying out for a royal sized renovation.

Speaking to HELLO!, Fisher warned that urgent restoration work costing at least £250,000 will be needed to prevent further decline.

“Royal Lodge appears to be showing visible signs of ageing and likely underlying damp or poor insulation,” Fisher explained.

“These issues suggest postponed maintenance that could lead to more serious structural damage if not addressed soon.”
