Sarah Paulson was overcome by emotion while attending her first red-carpet after losing her beloved friend, Diane Keaton.
The 50-year-old actress celebrated the premiere of the new legal drama, All's Fair, on Thursday, October 16, and spoke about the passing of the actress.
The Ratched star admitted that "it's a profoundly sad time for me" as she was incredibly close to her and could not find a way to "articulate" her loss, in conversation with The Hollywood Reporter.
Paulson once again said, "I'm unable to talk about it." She continued, "All I can say, and I have been saying tonight, which is important to me to communicate, is that, what you thought she was as a performer, she was even more spectacular as a human being.”
The American Horror Story actress couldn't keep her composure as she broke down crying, while saying she was "the luckiest person in the world to have had her in my life the way that I did."
Paulson and Keaton got close while co-starring in the movie, The Other Sister, in 1999, and continued to share a close bond forever.
Keaton passed away last week on October 11, at the age of 7,9 after battling with pneumonia.
