Mysterious giant ‘door to another world’ discovered near Chinese border in Kazakhstan

Researchers have discovered a giant doorway hidden in the Dzungarian Alatau mountains in Kazakhstan and netizens are convinced that it could be evidence of extraterrestrial life.

A 30-second clip circulating on social media, particularly Reddit, shows the stunned explorers in front of the giant doorway as they try to find a way in.

Many online users reacted to the clip claiming that it was proof of ancient aliens while some also claimed that there might be an alien spacecraft hiding behind the gigantic door.

The doorway was discovered near the Chinese border in Kazakhstan, almost 2,000 meters above sea level.

The door circular from above is about 40 feet tall and 40 feet in width, appearing to be leading into a cave with a low ceiling, as the rock behind it slopes downward.

One Harry Potter fan added humor to the discovery as they said that it might be a door to reveal the road to Hogwarts. They wrote, “Run really fast into it and see if you end up on the other side.”

However, a professor at Department of Earth Sciences at University of Durham, Mark Allen, debunked the alien theory. 

He said, “The door-like structure might be formed due to different weather patterns of different rock layers.”
