The office of the Duke of Sussex shared its first official update after Prince Harry arrived in the UK on Monday.
Harry had attended the annual WellChild Awards – a charity the royal has continued to support since his departure from the firm – following a poignant visit to his grandmother Queen Elizabeth’s grave as it was also the third death anniversary of the monarch.
Meanwhile, King Charles was still at Balmoral Castle with Queen Camilla taking care of royal engagements in Scotland. It was revealed that the King is flying back to London, raising hopes of the much-anticipated reunion between the estranged father and son.
In the weeks following Harry's visit, there was specualation about a possible meeting following the secret peace summit held between aides in London back in July.
It was reported that despite the rift, things are going in an positive direction for the royals.
Amid the return of the King to London, Harry issued an update on his UK visit with a lengthy statement emphasising on the "power of care" and "unwavering committment" to children.
To recognise the “electric” atmosphere the statement mentioned that the “spotlight fell where it truly belonged – on the remarkable children and young people whose courage defines the WellChild mission”.
After detailing the work and the initiatives mentioned in the statement, it also “marked the beginning of an even more ambitious future”.
“The strength, courage, and joy demonstrated by the winners, made possible in no small part through the support and indefatigable dedication of their parents, serve as a reminder of what’s possible when society commits to supporting its most vulnerable young people and gives them the chance to thrive in the places they belong: at home with their families.”
