Jessica Chastain shares true feelings after Hollywood Walk of Fame star
American actress also gets the support from 'The Help' costars and the legend Al Pacino at the event
Jessica Chastain has recently expressed her excitement over receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on August 4.
The Interstellar revealed what it’s like to earn a star after working for so many years in the entertainment industry.
“Standing in front of this star, I feel the weight and great gift of what we get to do in Hollywood, so this star to me, it's not an end point, it's a mile marker,” said the 48-year-old.
Jessica’s kids made their rare appearance at the event. Not only her family, but also cinema legend Al Pacino and her The Help costars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer attended the ceremony.
The Ava actress acknowledged her friends, teachers and collaborators for turning “a shy, awkward drama kid into a woman who believed that stories can save lives”.
“I'm honoured, I'm humbled, and I am so excited to see what we make together next,” remarked Jessica.
Recalling how she decided to join acting career, the actress disclosed that it was because of her “grandmother”.
“It was the first time I realised it was a job that people could have, and after watching it, I was like, ‘Oh, I’m an actor,’” stated Jessica.
Meanwhile, she told Variety that even though she “dropped out of high school and went back and got diploma later on, she was voted ‘Most Talented’ in her yearbook”.
“So very early on, I was getting feedback that it was something I was good at, and that helped a lot,” added the actress.
