Prince William gives into King Charles decision to reunite with Harry

Prince William appears to be honouring the request of his father King Charles after Prince Harry made a plea followed by a peace summit.

The monarch’s two sons are not yet on speaking terms since the Prince of Wales is still angry with his brother about everything he said in his explosive memoir and docuseries. However, he is willing to make a sacrifice for his father, according to a royal expert.

Prince Harry’s aides met with the King’s communication secretary last month in which he extended an olive branch by sharing an important Sussex asset: his diary engagements. The peace offer was not only made to Buckingham Palace but also to Kensington Palace.

While the situation is still uncertain, former royal editor Duncan Larcombe highlights a glimmer of hope as Harry is set to visit the UK next month. The peace summit hints at a possible meeting between Charles and Harry, but William will not interfere in the father-son reunion.

“The royal family needs to be united,” Larcombe said. “They need to be seen as kind of figureheads of British society, and a division is not good whatsoever.”

The expert noted that King Charles “will make his own decisions, and William would not be able to tell the King what to do”.

Meanwhile, William “hasn’t said a single word about his brother publicly in the time since their grandmother’s death, which is a sign that frankly, the situation at the moment is just dire”.

There was speculation that William is planning to remove any titles left for his brother once he ascends to the throne, but it remains to be seen if there could be a thaw in relations.
