Bethenny Frankel slams Chanel for denying entry to Jennifer Lopez

Bethenny Frankel blasted Chanel store for its ‘elitism’ after it denied entry to Jennifer Lopez in Istanbul.

Frankel voiced her support for the On The Floor hitmaker via TikTok Friday, August 8.

The viral video showed The Real Housewives of New York City alum clearly upset at the recent occurrence.

"So J. Lo was denied access to Chanel in Istanbul," the SkinnyGirl founder said in the video clip. "She was unfazed and unbothered, and I don't know if we heard about how the person was at the door - meaning if they were kind, then that tracks. They probably didn't know who she was."

Türkiye Today newspaper reported the incident involving Ben Affleck’s ex.

As per the media outlet, the 56-year-old was barred from entering the store Monday, August 4 apparently by a security guard because there was no room for more people inside; therefore, she was asked to leave.

The source to the outlet revealed that JLo calmly responded, “Ok, no problem” and walked away.

Bravo reality TV series actor recalled one particular time from the past when she also experienced something similar.

Allegedly, she was stopped when she tried to enter the luxury retailer looking ‘like an absolute train wreck’.

“They definitely wouldn't have known who I was," she stated.

"The gripe that I had with the person at the door of how they treated me."

Frankel assumed that probably Unstoppable actress ‘looked like a glamazon’ but the guard wasn’t aware of her Grammy nomination status, or maybe he was telling the truth about the store being full.

"I don't think that Chanel should change any policies for public people," Frankel continued her criticism of the brand. "I think they should change policies about the elitism and the way they treat someone daring to enter into their kingdom, thus making them feel inferior."

She further stated, "I have no idea how the person at the door treated Jennifer Lopez but therein lies the actual issue."

Frankel even went as far as to say that Lopez would have been a great customer had she been let into the store, but she accused the brand that they got more press by stopping Lopez from entering than they would have got from letting her in.
