King Charles has beat Meghan Markle to the punch with a surprise product drop.
The 76-year-old monarch has launched a new product on the same day that his daughter-in-law the Duchess of Sussex announced her own upcoming As Ever drop. While Meghan, 43, is preparing to drop a new vintage of her popular Napa Valley Rosé next week, The Sun reported on July 31 that Charles has already rolled out a brand-new item: tweed dog coats.
A nod to both his love of classic menswear and his furry companions, the King’s latest launch is a canine-sized version of his signature style. Sold exclusively at his Sandringham estate shop, the dog coat is made in collaboration with Sandringham Royal Tweed and retails for nearly £50.
“Sandringham’s loyal and trusted doggy visitors to the Royal parkland have been the inspiration for this collection,” reads a notice in the shop.
Charles’s wife Queen Camilla, too, is a known dog lover; she adopted her third rescue pup earlier this year.
Meghan, for her part, shares a handful of rescue dogs with Prince Harry at their Montecito mansion.
Meanwhile, Meghan also had a few rescue dogs of her own at her Montecito mansion which she shares with Prince Harry. However, her As Ever brand — launched earlier this year — focuses on lifestyle products, from jams and spreads to flower sprinkles and wines.
Released on July 1, her coveted Napa Valley Rosé sold out within hours, like many of her drops.
However, on July 30, the former Suits actress announced she’s restocking the beloved rosé with a twist; in addition to the original version, she’s also releasing a "vintage" version.
“Our new vintage of As Ever’s beloved rosé is available next week,” she wrote on her As Ever Instagram page.
