King Charles steps in to protect George amid Prince William, Kate resentment
Will the Prince and Princess of Wales be able to break major royal protocol?
King Charles made his feelings clear over a major decision related to Prince George, which might not be received by Prince William and Princess Catherine.
The monarch stepped in to protect the second in line to the throne with his demand to continue the years-old royal protocol.
For the unversed, George, who turns 12 recently, will not be allowed to travel with his father to protect the future line of succession from any unfortunate incident.
However, there are reports that the Prince and Princess of Wales wanted to give a normal childhood to their children, which might break the royal rule.
However, a royal expert, Helena Chard, told Fox News that "the King had made it known that he expected George to travel separately from his father."
She said that William and George have to adopt the uneasy new normal like previous generations.
Another royal commentator, Richard Fitzwilliams, highlighted that the Wales family is the future of the British royal family.
"Accidents do happen, and this seems like a sensible precaution which ought to be observed, as it was with King Charles and William during Queen Elizabeth's reign," he said.
Richard claimed that King Charles and Prince William "disagree" over this matter.
But the rule of travelling separately is for the protection of heirs to the throne.
