'Animal' director Sandeep Reddy opens up about upcoming romantic film

Animal’s director Sandeep Reddy Vanga recently expressed excitement for the upcoming romantic film Saiyaara.

The 43-year-old filmmaker, who garnered recognition for the 2023 action-crime Animal, gave a shoutout to Yash Raj Films’ new project.

Taking to his X (formerly Twitter), Vanga tweeted, “Witnessing a hindi heartland love story completely emphasizing on romance and drama. Waiting to watch it on the first day. Wishing the debutants all the very best. It’s purely Mohith suri’s magic.”

In response to the kind gesture, Saiyaara’s director Mohit Suri said, “Thank you so much sir! Means a lot #saiyaara.”

Notably, the Kabir Singh filmmaker began his career with Arjun Reddy, while Suri rose to fame with projects like, Awarapan, Raaz: The Mystery Continues, Murder 2, and Aashiqui 2, Ek Villain, Hamari Adhuri Kahani, Malang, and others.

The upcoming film revolves around a couple’s intense relationship as they suffer devastating setbacks in struggle to keep their love alive.

Aneet Padda, who was last seen in Big Girls Don’t Cry, is set to feature in Saiyaara alongside Ahaan Panday.

For the unversed, Saiyaara is slated for release on Friday, July 18.
