Paresh Rawal candidly addressed the issue of skyrocketing ticket prices in cinemas following his return to the Hera Pheri franchise.

The 70-year-old actor, known for his acclaimed performances in Hera Pheri and OMG, shared his views on recliner seats and high ticket prices in multiplexes.

During a recent appearance on Himanshu Mehta’s podcast, the Bhagam Bhag star said, “Movies aren’t watched lying down; if you want to sit like that, go to a spa or watch a dance.”

The Phir Hera Pheri actor, who garnered recognition for his iconic role as Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, voiced his concerns about the steep rise in ticket prices.

Speaking to the outlet, he explained that the inflated costs are discouraging audiences from visiting cinemas, which is ultimately harming the film industry.

Addressing multiplexes, the Welcome star urged them to be more considerate of the audience rather than focusing solely on enhancing the luxurious cinematic experience.

This comes on the heels of Rawal announcing his return to the much-anticipated sequel to the Hera Pheri franchise, after previously withdrawing due to creative differences.

On the professional front, the veteran actor is currently gearing up for Nikita Roy, slated for release on July 18, as well as Priyadarshan’s upcoming Bhoot Bangla.

For the unversed, Hera Pheri 3 is expected to hit cinemas in 2027.
